Answers:
Virus Scanner prevents Launch of Almanac Executable cause of a "Trojan"
Because the Almanac is written in a Script Language, some Virus Scanner (Kaspersky and Avast) detect the Almanac automaticly as a "Trojan" and block the Executable. This is a bug caused by the virus scanner! Kaspersky was informed by us soon. All updates are checked by 2 virus scanners (FreeAv + Sophos) before uploaded to the server!
Solution: Allow your Virus Software to start "VCOAlmanac.exe" and "Trading-Counter.exe", or change your Virus Software to Freeware Solutions like FreeAv (http://www.free-av.de/)
Starting Almanac with Vista causes a Black Screen, when VCO is also launched
It's supposed to be a Problem between DirectX and VCO!
Solution: First Start Almanac (if you also use Trading-Counter and/or TrendWatch start them next), THEN VCO!
Almanac launches with a white Background and no Data
The "VCOAlmanac.exe" has not been opened in Almanac Root Folder. This might happen when trying to make a Shortcut to Desktop and moving the Executable.
Solution:
Change to Almanac Root Folder, and start the "VCOAlmanac.exe" there! To create a Shortcut simplay use Rightclick to "VCOAlmanac.exe" -> Send to -> Desktop (Create Shortcut)
Will the Checked Items and Data get lost, when I reinstall my Almanac?
Answer: No! The Almanac checks while launching if there are old Data Packages or not. When old Data got deleted the Almanac will create a new Default Profile with blank Databases. So do not Delete the Root Folder!
Extend point of view does not show any effect with vista
Answer: Activate "Extend point of view". If VCO is active, close it. Go to the folder where your VCO-Client exe is installed and right-click on it --> Preferences -> Compatibility -> activate compatibility mode -> Windows XP. Click OK and start VCO.
